AWS is looking for a dynamic Commissioning Agent.

It is the responsibility of the Commissioning Agent to oversee completion of multi-discipline division of work related to pre-commissioning or commissioning on construction projects. The Commissioning Agent is responsible for supporting and supervising on projects. He or she provides multi-discipline input into the scheduling, designing and planning of projects. In addition, the Commissioning Agent also develops multi-discipline commissioning strategy documents for projects. The responsibilities of the Commissioning Agent include the reviewing, approving and overseeing the installation and design of minor temporary commissioning supplies and systems.

In addition, the Commissioning Agent must review and approve all multi-discipline integrated systems testing and commissioning processes to ensure they are compliant with the procedures, specifications and standards of the project. It is the Commissioning Agent ‘s responsibility to make sure that all commissioning procedures follow all appropriate safety practices and procedures. He or she enthusiastically participates in all project and company safety programs. In addition, the Commissioning Agent must audit commissioning activities regularly to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. The Commissioning Agent communicates with the project engineering team in order to make sure that the applicable drawings are created in accordance with all commissioning requirements. He or she is responsible for regularly monitoring and reporting commissioning progress.

The successful candidate will be based in Dublin and be required to travel to support other regions.

Systems Analysis

· Understand the design concept and intent by reviewing mechanical and electrical construction documentation, including drawings and scheduled equipment
· Provide recommendations and feedback regarding the design, equipment selection, Test and Balance requirements, maintainability and potential enhancements
· Review documentation for compliance with Amazon control standards, commissioning standards, and control specification (if applicable)
· Assess the capability of control scope and documentation to achieve the mechanical design intent

Systems Verification

· Verify the control system point-to-point, including establishing acceptance criteria, obtaining completed reports, performing verification and spot checking for validation
· Verify that control system work station, graphics, alarm dial out, and remote monitoring capabilities are complete per Amazon standards and contract documents
· Review control as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness
· Communicate noted commissioning issues, questions and concerns through proper channels in a timely manner
· Determine whether the control provider has completed all required responsibilities
· Work with internal and external teams to schedule required equipment calibrations

Project Support

· Develop project specific commissioning schedule and plans
· Witness and validate project specific static, start-up, and test-adjust-balance field work
· Conduct commissioning coordination meetings as needed with project management, control, balance, and startup representatives
· Maintain, track and operate test equipment
· Write site specific service and maintenance procedures
· Develop a project specific training agenda
· Provide mechanical systems training to assigned Operations mechanics and/or owners representatives
· Return complete and legible commissioning documentation to the commissioning manager
· Track noted commissioning issues until resolved and closed
· When independent commissioning authorities are involved, coordinate and demonstrate Amazon commissioning activities and documentation
· Represent Amazon at project specific commissioning coordination meetings

Basic Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint(or similar) preferred.
· Min of 4 years of working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
· Demonstrated Ability to read and understand construction documents (drawings, specifications, submittals, etc.).
· Basic understanding of electrical and fire/life safety systems.
· Formal mechanical or electrical training/education required.
· Five (5) years of experience or trade and/or operating test equipment.
· BA/BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
· Ability and willingness to travel.
· Advanced understanding of industry safety practices and procedures

Physical Requirements :

• Walk job sites in uneven terrain.
• Work at heights and from ladders.
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or craw.
• Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.
• Respond to off hour emergency calls.

• Work in environments that are colder or hotter than a normal office environment
· Work at depths and in confined spaces such as under raised-floors.

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong leadership skills
– Experience in Process Improvement such as Lean Manufacturering practices, Toyota Way, Operational Excellence
