Fingal Dublin Chamber Skillnet Launch

Does your organisation qualify? Fingal Dublin Chamber have launched a new Skillnet in Swords Castle to provide subsidised enterprise-led training for companies. Fingal Dublin Chamber Skillnet will be reaching out to businesses across Fingal to find out what are their training requirements for 2019 to sustain and grow their businesses and match these requirements with suitable high quality training programmes.

Opportunities for Training

The opportunity for companies to drive the training provision is key in the Skillnet model which focuses on the companies needs to develop a strong workforce to drive further competitiveness and growth for Ireland.

The importance of this Skillnet for the Fingal region is to collaborate with some of the 8,300 businesses operating in Fingal to build a strong skill base. The recent launch of the Fingal Skills Strategy refers to the expected level of churn and replacement skills required across the sectors in Fingal and this Skillnet will be a key strategic player in terms of providing upskilling opportunities for these companies.

Skillnet Leadership

Noreen Fitzpatrick has recently been appointed as the network manager for Fingal Dublin Chamber Skillnet. Noreen has worked in Skillnet Ireland for over 12 years as a Programme Manager and has provided support to a portfolio of networks from multiple sectors including ICT, Agri-food, Space and Design. Over the past few years she has also led the development of new start-up learning & development networks in key strategic areas. Within her new role Noreen will be reaching out to companies to assist them to identify and address their skills needs to develop new talent and retain existing employees by providing flexible training programmes tailored to the needs of businesses in the region.
